Types of legal problems

Our staff in the legal services, financial counselling services and tenant advocacy services may be able to assist you with the following types of legal problems:

Family Law - separation, divorce, living arrangements for children when parents separate, property settlement, caveats on property and other issues surrounding family concerns.

Civil Law - criminal injuries compensation, motor vehicle accident injury claims, restraining order matters, workers compensation, employment matters, superannuation issues, discrimination and equal opportunity issues, consumer law, and other forms of compensation matters and complaints or issues with goods, services and government departments.

Tenancy problems - rental property concerns like maintenance and repairs, payment of rent issues, property condition reports, eviction notices, breach notices, going to court and other problems tenants may experience.

Financial problems - bankruptcy, consumer law, credit and debt, social security, superannuation, making complaints about banks, finance or insurance companies or telephone and internet companies.

We only provide information and minor assistance in criminal law matters and court representation is only done in restricted circumstances. If we are unable to assist you we will always ensure that you are provided with information and a referral to an alternative service that better suits your needs.
