Outreach Services

GRC services that have been specifically funded to provide outreach within the mandated service delivery region are;

  • Nyarlu Miyarnumalgu – Indigenous Women’s Legal Outreach Service
  • Rural Women’s Legal Outreach Program
  • Tenant Advocacy Service
  • Re-entry Program
  • Gascoyne Community Legal Service (Carnarvon based)
  • Financial Counselling Service

GRC first commenced outreach service delivery in November 1998 when Nyarlu Miyarnumalgu – Indigenous Women’s Legal Outreach Service began operation. This was followed by the Tenancy Advocacy Service in 2000 due to the extremely high level of tenancy cases identified within communities. Soon after the Rural Women’s Outreach Program came on board and then in 2004 the Gascoyne Community Legal Service opened its doors to expand service delivery to Carnarvon and north as far as Exmouth. By 2005 with increases in GRC staffing levels the Re-entry Program (Prisoner Re-entry) had its first outreach trip along side other outreach service providers. More recently in 2007 our Financial Counselling Service became an outreach service provider.

GRC outreach service delivery is undertaken within the Gascoyne and Mid West Regions with staff travelling throughout the year as part of their program responsibility.

Outreach trips occur to towns within these regions including;
