Re-entry Program (Prisoner release program)

If you are coming back into the community from prison, we may be able to make the move easier for you. Staff can help with things like:

  • Planning the move
  • Finding a place to live
  • Sorting out income and budgets
  • Connecting you with other support services including agencies who assist with employment, training and other opportunities

The Re-entry Program is accessed by referral from the Transitional Officer within the relevant prison and is available three months before and up to six months post-release. If you or someone you know needs assistance contact GRC on 9964 3533. Visits to the Greenough Regional Prison are made weekly by staff. Additionally, outreach to regional centres in the Mid West and Gascoyne is conducted.

Funded by the WA Department of Corrective Services

Home Visitors Scheme (Seniors)

This scheme involves volunteers meeting, spending time and creating friendships with older or disabled isolated members of our community who may wish to have a visitor occasionally.

We can visit you at home or in a nursing home. The visitors are able to keep you in touch with the community and maybe bring a new interest into your life.

You can request a visitor yourself or have someone refer you by phoning us at GRC. Anyone wishing to become volunteer can contact us too. Your offer will be greatly appreciated.

Funded by the Commonwealth Dept of Health and Aged Care and the WA Dept of Health
